Brookfield presents WFC IN THE LOOP 2013 Information and Schedule Projects in 2013 will be made and donated to 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations working on Hurricane Sandy relief efforts throughout New York City. Winter sessions (January, February, March) will focus on hats, cowls, and other cold weather accessories. The completed pieces will be distributed to Staten Island residents through the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Learn more about the foundation’s work at www.tunneltotowers.org. 2013 sessions will continue to be on the third Friday of each month, from 12-2pm, at Brookfield Place, World Financial Center. At this meeting, we will announce the charity recipient for the handmade goods we will make in Winter 2013.

We are so proud of all of the items we were able to provide to the new homeowners of the St. John’s residences built by Habitat-NYC over this past year – from coasters to afghans.

We know that Hurricane Sandy has posed huge challenges and difficulties for all of us in this area, and we hope that this post finds you and your loved ones safe and with power, heat, and hot water.
While the storm caused the annual Canstruction exhibition at the WFC to be postponed, Brookfield and Canstruction are collecting canned goods for City Harvest, which will be distributed to those affected by Sandy. The collection box is in the Winter Garden.
