Announcements
  • Due to ongoing renovations at Brookfield Place, the meeting location is being moved again – this month we will be inside the Winter Garden at street level (not on the balcony).
  • Please bring back any outstanding projects to the meeting this Friday! We start new projects every month and want to make sure we get everything back in a timely manner.
 
Patterns & Materials
We provide yarn, pattern and guidance; you bring the tools and skills.
 
This month: little mitts to go with the baby hats we made in July!

Charity Recipient
All 2013 IN THE LOOP projects will be donated to Staten Island communities affected by Hurricane Sandy. Pieces completed in the summer and fall will be donated to the Richmond University Medical Center Auxiliary for their annual baby shower, to help replenish the items they distributed immediately following the storm.

Announcements

  • Please bring back any outstanding projects to the meeting this Friday! We will start new projects each month and want to make sure we get everything back in a timely manner.
  • Construction walls have begun going up in the Brookfield Place complex. In order to get to the Winter Garden from the Courtyard (corridor where Rite-Aid is located), you must EXIT onto the waterfront plaza and re-enter through the Winter Garden.

Patterns & Materials
Our July projects are the sweetest baby hats! As always, we provide yarn, pattern and guidance; you bring the tools and skills.
 
Tools: US Size D, E, or F (3.5 or 3.75mm)* crochet hook
*The mm size is more important than the letter size

  • This Friday not only  marks the summer solstice, it is also the next meeting of IN THE LOOP! On this extra-long day, we will begin our next project - baby booties.
  • Earlier this month, we sent a parcel of 24 hats and 17 fingerless gloves to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. They will soon find their way to Staten Island residents in need. Thank you all for your hard work!
  • If you have any outstanding projects, please remember to bring them back.
